Participating in BAMMA is hard work. I never had to stalk so many sources I had to interview in one day. Contacting people as bad as I thought. I was really nervous before I called my first source, but then it wasn't so bad. That initiative is one thing I am going to take back to my journalism staff. I won't be so afraid to get out of the school campus and pull topics that come from the community itself.
I got frustrated today because I wasn't able to schedule any interviews for tomorrow. Only two people called me back out of the seven that I contacted and one told me they wont be able to speak to me. The other is going to speak with me over email.
Photography was fun. I actually understand now what ISO, aperture and shutter is. We even got to mess around taking photos and practice different angles we could use.
I liked the guest speaker from wiretap. I am glad she gave us information on Internships offered by local publications. I definitely want to pursue these opportunities to get more experience since I know I want to continue journalism as a career.
