Naye Naye --->Day tres...

Today was so crazy for me. For example, we were to report to the journalism 101 room earlier than usual today as we read the New York Times, my story changed yet again, we were able to interview sources over the phone and face to face interview, we were to record and take pictures during the interviews, and I finally ate dinner around seven o'clock.UGH!Though, today was so hectic, it still was really fun! My editor, Amanda, decided to change my story from a program that helps young adults at Berkeley High School to a program called Year Up. Year Up is a really interesting program that teaches young adults about I.T. work and business. I believe that Year Up would make a better program and story than the Passion Program because first of all, not only does the Passion Program not have a website,but it just does not even really appeal to me as much as Year Up does.Year Up was founded by Gerald Chertavian who was the former software entrepreneur.This program is looking to give many young adults the opportunity to learn what it is like to work at a big named company. For example, they teach their students how to interview, skills about I.T. work, etocosy, business life, etc. Year Up prepares young adults for sucessful careers and a higher education. I actually heard about Year Up from my older brother who actually attends this program.After my phone interview, I actually managed to set up an interview with the head of the program , Deborah Lao. Amanda, Ali, Jabari, and I went to Year Up as I interviewed many trying to join Year Upand some students that are already in this program. We then went to a skate park as Jabari interviewed and I recorded and took many pictures. I am sure looking forward to interviewing Deborah Lao at Year Up tomarrow. I just hope it is just as fun as it was today !_!
