Bamma Take 2

Hello! Okay, so today at Bamma, we edited the videos that we took of our partners. It was kind of tedious, but in a way kind of fun. Editing is SO long! I have major respect for editors. My video...oh geez, it was not very impressive! I had some difficulties following the directions (like always, I REALLY need to hone my listening skills.) Also, we had to set up interviews with people for our stories! That was so much harder than I excepted, as well as stressful, but the editors are a big help. After lunch we learned about photo-journalism (Is that what it's called?) That took up most of my creativity for the day. Learning all the new picture terms and trying to apply them to taking pictures...wow, talk about challenging! But it was fun doing something I don't do often. You know, "broadening your horizons." Meeting Jamilah was cool too. It's amazing how many journalists there are out there and how passionate people are about what they do. It astounds me the way people are willing to put their life on the line to write about a story they really want the world to hear about. It's really inspiring.
