Today I write my first blog for BAMMA. Excellente. I haven't blogged for ages, so excuse my for long and boring rants. I will also probably be blogging like crazy.
My BAMMA experience so far has been good; the kiddos here are very friendly and sweet. My roommates and I clicked instantly the first day we met. I share my room with Natasha, the hilarious and weird one. Also with us is Jessica. She's nice and ready to give a knee-slapper. Yeah, no idea what that meant. And Tiffany, my last roommate, is very interesting with her little random fun facts.
The teachers are very cool at BAMMA. This course was not what I expected. Although there is a lot of work to be done, the class is also extremely chill and fun. So basically, it isn't the "prison camp" that I thought it would be. It's more of an enjoyment. Woo. Thrilling stuff.
But when there are ups, there are downs. I can't complain much; the program has so much to offer. But I can complain about living with 4 different people. I love them , obviously, but my pet peeve just takes over:
Its around 6:30 in the morning (thats like, the earliest I have ever got up in the morning) and I quietly stroll my way to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and ALAS!! Good god, there is hair left on the drain. I REPEAT, HAIR, WHICH IS NOT MY OWN, SITTING IN A MASSIVE CLUMP COLLECTING BITS AND PIECES OF EXCESS SHAMPOO, ON THE DRAIN. I slowly back away from the drain and turn to the wall. And you think i'd get over it. Then I see it. Hair plastered on the wall. Not just one or two pieces. Sweet Jesus, (I shouldn't be saying this, since i'm Christian. Oh well.) it's like 20 pieces stuck on the wall!
Yes, it's my worst nightmare. But since I love my roommates so, I cleaned the hair on the drain. (note how I didn't include the wall. Its probably still hanging there.)
But hey-I can deal with that. I hope.
And let me tell you about the food- its delicious! Seriously, after being asian for 17 straight years, its been rice rice rice for dinner. Finally! For dinner I get to eat varieties of food! Yes, I am now culturally aware.
And today I got to learn about my interest- photography! I now somewhat understand the terms "shutter," "aperture," and "ISO." You see, I have this really nice camera and home, and I realize that I have abused it dearly. Did you know they make fun of people who use auto on camera!?
Dude, I use auto all the time.
But thats my little secret. Because no one will probably read this whole blog. Its way too long.
Oh yeah. And about the article itself. It is very hard, let me tell you. I tried to contact people for interviews, but they were "busy". I couldn't schedule one single interview. Hopefully my journalism and interview skills will improve as a move onward in this program.
We also got these nifty portable video cameras. So I can record myself everywhere I go like those cool kids on reality T.V. shows. We basically can film anything we want and film our experiences. And we get to learn how to edit the videos and make cool sounds and what not. Awesome!
Okay, this ends my novel blog for today!
I read your whole blog. Don't use auto. Seriously.
