Saturday:
We went to the Pride Celebration that took place at the Civic Center in SF. We had an assignment where we interviewed random strangers about Michael Jackson's death and we asked them to sing/dance like MJ. It was complete madness in certain areas and completely dead in others. After that we went back to SFSU and had dinner and then watched Born Into Brothels. It was a really good documentary. After that, we played Mafia for two hours. I will probably NEVER play that game again!! Wow. It was fun the first few games, but after a while I just got so bored of the game.
Sunday:
We watched the Pride parade for a few minutes. (Broom) Eric saw San Leandro's Unified School District in the parade and he told me and asked if I wanted to interview them. I thought it'd add some dimension to my news article, so I asked him if I could. We chased them down a few blocks and then we bypassed the barriers (there was an area where it was just CAUTION tape) and then I just jumped in and began asking questions. It was a really cool experience. After that, Eric and I went back to the main group and after a while, we all left. We walked to this Chinese Cultural Center and got. We had lunch at a park across the street and then we ate lunch. We went to Pier 39 and then went on a beautiful Bay Cruise. It was amazing! It got really cold when we got near the Golden Gate Bridge. We went back to City Eats and ate lunch then we watched the Zodiac.
P.S.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINNAEA!! <3

Don't you feel at home when we are at the Chinese Cultural Center? It totally screams motherland.

ReplyDeleteI KNOW RIGHT?! I was like "Why am I here? My life's like this 24/7. I don't need to see an exhibit about it" LOL
